Aug 1 Baptism
Come join our celebration on the first of August. Worship begins at a eleven am followed by one of the biggest days in the life of our church. What is the great celebration? It’s the celebration of life – lives transformed by Jesus Christ.
Shortly after our brief worship service we will take the celebration outside around the pool. That’s right, we’ll be having a pool party of a different kind. There will be refreshments but even better than the refreshments is a Baptism service! Many young people and young adults have come to know Christ through outreach, through our Sunday worship services and through our Wednesday evening Bible Studies. Even this week a new follower of Christ accepted Jesus as his savior in the hallway before our Bible Study. God is At Work and we want you to celebrate with us what He is doing in our midst.
Join us for worship, baptism and some delicious refreshments. Come pray with us over these new believers who are taking the plunge by beginning their first steps in the Christian Walk.
Please bring your friends and family.
God At Work
Christ Fellowship is blessed to see God working in our midst. Just a taste of what he is doing…
Each Wednesdays at 7pm Pancho has been leading 40-50 and a dozen adults in a video journey through the Gospel of Luke. The Word of God comes to life as we see it on screen and study, applying it to our lives.
Each Sunday God is amazing us as he speaks to us through worship and praise, prayer and giving, and the opening of God’s Word. Pastor Bowen and Associate Pastor Morris consistently preach and teach powerfully in a come-as-you are environment.
Christ Fellowship is a place for young people – increasingly, more and more of our teenagers and young adults are growing in their love of the Lord and are coming regularly to celebrate God’s goodness in our midst
Six Flags retreat is coming – Pastor Bowen is going to be taking a group of special young people to Six Flags this summer. Come and find out how you can participate.
Prayer is vital to the life of Christ Fellowship. Almost every week, we share in a dedicated time of prayer for the needs of our congregation, our city, and the world. If a need comes before us, we never fail to stop and pray and seek God’s face.
Fellowship Sunday occurs on the Fourth Sunday! Don’t forget that food and much joy is shared together at the beautiful pool-side,back-porch setting of the Olford Center. Come worship and stay for Faye’s fried chicken, Damian secret recipe BarBQ, or Cindy’s family recipe of spaghetti, and many other treats.
Christ Fellowship is a place where you can where jeans, sweats, suit or a dress. Everyone is welcome because God’s Kingdom is for all who seek Him.
Come join us as we watch and participate with God at Work in our midst.

11am Sundays – 7pm Wednesdays
Christ Fellowship is enjoying a new Summer schedule which includes Sundays at 11am and Wednesdays at 7pm. We meet at the Union University’s Olford Center on Riverdale, just South of Ryan’s Steak House.
Pastors Kelvin Bowen and Mark Morris alternate the preaching on Sundays while Cindy Morris is teaching from 1 Corinthians on Wednesday evenings to a packed house of young people and not-so-young.
Daily, many of our church family serve in one of several MAM ministry centers around Memphis.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Dec 21 Christmas Celebration
What a great launch this past Sunday. Pastor Bowen delivered a perfect message to kick off our services at the Olford Center. Eighty people joined us for our inaugural celebration. Tiffany Curry led us in some inspiring worship in singing.
Join us this week as Pastor Mark Morris brings our Christmas Message.
Wed. Bible Study – God Will Use You
“God is going to do something amazing through you. He is going to use you to build His church.” Pastor Kelvin Bowen – at Wednesday Bible Study.
Each Wednesday 30 to 50 teenagers and young adults gather at the Salvation Army gym on Winchester for Bible Study. Wednesday we celebrated the fact that one of the young ladies was baptized this week. We also learned that in December, we will have a larger location to start meeting for Sunday celebration service. Until now we have been meeting in small groups in homes on Sundays. We thank the Lord for what He is doing.
Schedule – The Latest
Christ Fellowship is embarking on some exciting days ahead.
On August 24 we experienced something that was extraordinary when two efforts came together in one body. Multiple cultures came together for fellowship, teaching from God’s Word, prayer, testimony and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Since that time pastors, Steve Moses, Mark Morris and Kelvin Bowen have come together and agree that God is leading us to move forward as one body. The vision has been refined and we will take steps toward reaching the lost of Memphis together as one unified but diverse body. Pastor Bowen will serve as Lead Pastor and we will embark on the vision to impact the city and the world for Christ’s glory.
On Sunday, September 28 we will meet at the Morris home at 18 W. Viking Dr. in Cordova. Take a look at the schedule below.
